On June 7, 2025, supporter Nick Franklin will take on an extraordinary feat.
Running 4.16 miles every hour, on the hour, for 32 hours straight.
That’s a total of 133 miles, the equivalent of five marathons back-to-back. All to raise funds and awareness for the vital work we do here at Tapping House.
Nick’s motivation is deeply personal. Last year, he had the privilege of caring for his Nan during her final days, a time made brighter by the compassionate and dignified care provided by Hospice staff. “Their kindness truly meant the world to us,” Nick shared. “End-of-life care is something many of us will encounter, and Tapping House ensures those moments are filled with peace, love, and even laughter.”
His 32-hour challenge is a testament to that gratitude, and part of a broader community of incredible individuals who’ve gone the extra mile (and many more!) to support the Hospice. From the London Marathon to GEAR 10K and countless half marathons, we’re continually inspired by every runner who has laced up their shoes in aid of Tapping House.
We are deeply thankful for Nick and every person who has taken on a race to help fund our compassionate care, whether at the hospice or in the community.
Nick’s run is not just a test of endurance — it’s a tribute to love, loss, and hope. If you’d like to support his journey and the work of Tapping House, please consider donating via the link below. Every contribution makes a difference.
