With grateful thanks to our Headline Sponsor Persimmon Homes
for their very generous support.
Here’s all the information you will need in order to plan your visit to the tulip fields, please read all of the information and the FAQ’s below.
We really look forward to welcoming you to Tulips for Tapping this year.
Please keep an eye on socials for updates and news during our Flagship event
Please do not visit the field on days we are closed, this is for essential crop maintenance.
Adult tickets (18+) will be £10 each and children’s tickets (5-17yrs) will be £5 each. Under 5’s are free and do not require a ticket. Please note that there will also be a parking charge of £2 per car.
The tickets will be released approximately 10 days to 14 days prior to opening.
There is a maximum booking size of 6 tickets plus car parking tickets.
Tickets are available to purchase through the link on our website, they are sold through TicketTailor.
Please note: all tickets are non refundable and non transferable by Tapping House unless we have to cancel the event. We strongly advise against purchasing tickets through second hand selling sites, Facebook groups and comments on our posts.
LOCATION:
The exact location and what3words will be provided with your ticket confirmation. Unfortunately there is not a postcode for the field.
TRANSPORT:
The closest public transport to the field will be the Train Station at King’s Lynn, from there our best advice is to get a taxi to the field.
We recommend that you get a taxi, it is not safe to travel by bus or to walk. You will need to make sure you book a return taxi to the station.
There is not a taxi rank located nearby and therefore taxis are not readily available. Taxis must be booked in advance.
There are lots of local taxi firms that can support you. Here are a few local taxi phone numbers:
Station Taxis / Kings Abbey
01553 767 692
King’s Lynn Taxi
01553 763 636
Connect Cars & Taxis
01553 776 633
PARKING:
There is a car park on site for our guests at the Tulip field, you can book this at the same time as booking your tickets. This is grass field not a tarmac car park, it is uneven and may be muddy or dusty depending on conditions. Cars are parked at owners risk. The car park is not suitable for large motor homes. There are no electric charging points.
WHAT TIMES ARE YOU OPEN?
We open at 10am and last entry is at 3.30pm. We ask that the Tulip field is vacated by 4.30pm.
This year we are offering three late evenings, where we will be open from 10am and last entry will be 7pm. We ask that the Tulip field is vacated by 8pm
The field will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for essential field and crop maintenance. Please do not try to visit on these days.
CAN I VISIT WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED?
Unfortunately not, we work tirelessly to prepare the field before the event and it is not safe for you to visit before we open and likewise once we close. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and we hope you understand how hard we work to be able to make this happen.
TOILETS:
There will be portable toilets on site, and hand sanitiser available. Please note that there is no running water at the Tulip fields.
FOOD AND DRINK:
There are a selection of food and drink vendors available at the field, unfortunately we cannot confirm if they offer specific dietary requirements. In previous years we have had Reeseys Ice Cream, Bucket List, Cuppa Jo Jo and Palmer’s Fish & Chips.
PICNICS:
We do allow picnics, but they cannot be eaten in the car park as it is not safe to do so. There is a continuous flow of traffic and no free space for sitting.
While those using wheelchairs and buggies are wholeheartedly welcome at the fields, we would ask that users be aware that conditions on the day are wholly dependent upon the weather. The terrain will be uneven and can be muddy or dusty; please bear this in mind before you visit and ensure you wear appropriate footwear.
You will not be able to get down the rows of the tulips in your wheelchair/pushchair but you will be able to enjoy them from the ends of the rows.
