Tapping House invites local businesses to support their “Light Up A Life” Christmas Campaign by Sponsoring a Star.
Tapping House is thrilled to be inviting local businesses to take part in their long established Light Up a Life Christmas campaign, and help bring warmth and light to the festive season by sponsoring a Christmas star. For over 25 years, the month of December has focussed on our Light Up A Life campaign.
Both at the Hospice and out in our community, we provide an opportunity for people to pause and reflect, to celebrate our families and remember those who are sadly no longer with us.
We’re looking to build on our already established Light Up A Life campaign by creating an opportunity for local businesses to demonstrate their support for the appeal by sponsoring a light up star. Each illuminated star will shine brightly on the front of the hospice building, symbolising hope and compassion for all patients, their loved ones, and the dedicated staff and volunteers who provide essential care.
This wonderful initiative will symbolically light up and provide hope to people in our community, to shine a light on the work of the Hospice and demonstrate the support of our business community.
This year, with the financial pressures facing hospices nationwide, funds raised through the Light Up a Life campaign are more crucial than ever. Every sponsored star will contribute directly to sustaining the outstanding, free-of-charge care Tapping House provides to the West Norfolk community.
By sponsoring a star, businesses can be a beacon of support for families during these challenging times and make sure that we can continue to offer the compassionate, rest-of-life care our patients need and deserve. Chloe Martin, Ward Manager expresses what it means to the staff, the patients and their families during this time of year, “Working at the hospice during Christmas is a privilege. We decorate our patient’s rooms, organise celebrations, and arrange for families to share a Christmas lunch together, creating cherished memories during what can be a very difficult time. While it can be a challenging time for our patients, with many wondering if it will be their last Christmas, we strive to make it as special as possible for them and their loved ones.” Chloe goes on to add, “Light Up a Life is a wonderful way to support Tapping House, you will be showing your support for the families we are caring for this Christmas, be they making precious memories with the time they have together, or remembering a loved one no longer with us.”
