Our amazing team of volunteers at Tapping House are vital to us. We simply couldn’t function without the dedication of our invaluable volunteers. From helping in our charity shops to supporting patients and families, volunteers are the backbone of our hospice – and their contribution makes an incredible difference.
We have a variety of volunteer roles available all the time. If you’re keen to make a difference with any spare time you have then please consider becoming a part of a community where your work truly matters. Our volunteers help us in more ways than they will ever know.

Help behind the scenes with admin tasks that keep our hospice running smoothly, greeting people and answering the phone.
Tapping House are proud to be working in partnership with the Anne Robson charity to create a rest-of-life/Community Butterfly volunteer service. The charity helps healthcare organisations to set up and run teams of specialist volunteers to provide companionship to patients approaching the end of their lives, and emotional support to the patients’ families, carers and visitors.

Our hospice is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and we’re always happy to help.
