The Rudhams Open Gardens
8th June @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
East and West Rudham are adjoining villages surrounded by countryside with Anglo Saxon origins. Easily accessible from Kings Lynn and Fakenham, The Crown pub sits on the village green with a coffee shop and deli close by. There are large playing fields and a jolly playground. The four gardens are very varied in history, design and planting providing inspiration and enjoyment for visitors. C18 Dragonfly Cottage has a ½ acre plot with lawned areas, mature trees and colourful herbaceous borders, two small ponds, wildflower areas and small vegetable/cutting garden. Georgian Wensum House has associations with the Royal family and has a two acre established garden with large herbaceous borders, rose arches, statuary and small meandering stream. Wensum Farmhouse also sits on two acres with a walled cottage style garden and adjoining wild meadow with ponds and meandering paths. Close by, The White Cottage is a young naturalistic, colourful, cottage garden and courtyard.
Tapping House will be providing refreshments at the Rudhams Village Hall, fresh from the hospice kitchen alongside an art exhibition created by local artists.
